Not too long ago my friends Claire and Ash — who are engaged to be married in October of this year — left their rented townhouse and purchased a home. While I had originally figured on stopping by to visit and see the new place while in transit to Athens, Georgia helping move Erik and Lauren in to their new apartment, it was concluded that a detour to Tallahassee would be too time consuming and costly with the rented moving van.
So instead, Erik and I are taking a dedicated trip to visit them next week. We will be leaving Orlando on either Wednesday or Thursday, stopping in Gainesville to chat and possibly dine with friends Dan and Andrea. Our return is scheduled for Saturday evening, as Erik has an early morning work schedule for the following Sunday.
I am looking forward to this trip. It has been over six months since I have been to Tallahassee or seen Claire and Ash, plus it will be fun to see the new home.

Awww… I'd take time to see you guys but I'm actually headed to Savannah for a cousin's wedding.
BTW, tell Claire I still haven't gotten a wedding invite yet… I'm starting to get suspicious that she may be conveniently forgetting to send one to me, and I'd at least like to know for sure… hmmm..
Matt, I don't think anyone has gotten an invitation at least I have not.
Dave, I open on Wednesday so we will leave wednesday around 7pm; however, I will be pretty tired so you may have to do most of the driving.

And no, I do not believe the invitations have gone out yet.
We're planning a sort of party for Friday. Does that sound do-able? And Matt, didn't I get your address for that? If not email it to me.
A party sounds fantastic to me. I will just make sure I do not prank call those odd entries in Ash's cell this time. :-)

By the way, Dave, I don't know what Lauren's accomodations are at her apartment but if you need a place to stay while here, we have a nice guest room. I thought I would make the offer.
Oh, see I thought all along Erik and I would be staying with you as Lauren moved away from Tallahassee when she finished her last semester at FSU.

Oh. I didn't know Lauren already moved. In that case, we have plenty of room, as I just put a twin bed in my computer room and there's a queen in the guest room. When will you all be arriving? (so I can make sure all bedding is clean and prepared.)
Well, with Dave staying with you, I guess that makes two queens in the guest room… ;)
