What was your name?

Gaye Males, Associate Broker – Coldwell Banker

As Chris writes, "Coldwell Banker is a very progressive company." Indeed. And before anyone says poking fun at someone's name is wrong, please recall my last name is a month of the year so I get my share.

How can anyone make fun of your last name? It doesn't seem like comedy gold or anything to me.

    Oh, yeah:

"I only wish we had 100 Gaye Males working for this company."

It is not that they are funny jokes, Matt, but the attempts are most certainly there.

"Ha! Well I am David [June -or- August]."
    "Were you born in July?"
"You should have a daughter and name her June."

But of course my least favourite and best example of how stupid some people really are, there are a striking number of folks who pronounce my name like "Julie." WTF? I would not have such an intolerance for this if it were not for the fact "July" is a fucking month of the year.

Finally, there was a kid in middle school whose name was Neil Pecker. I imagine he hears his share of jokes.

My real name is Richard Licker.

I remember Neil Pecker, poor fellow.
